Tenemos 15 años, hemos cambiado, hemos evolucionado, miramos atrás y avanzamos, estamos ahora en lo que llamamos una 4ta etapa de este viaje.
Etapa donde proponemos y ejecutamos en solitario y en conjunto. Experiencia y potencia se empatan en esta etapa del viaje.
En esta oportunidad con el Estudio Thinkk, la propuesta surgió gracias a la invitación por parte de la Embajada Real de Thailandia en Buenos Aires en el 2019. Fuimos seleccionados, nos pidieron un proyecto y nos fueron presentados varios estudios de diseño.
Escogimos THINKK por la calidad de sus trabajos, por su visión contemporánea, por su semántica y su sentido de pertenencia a Tailandia. Esto último nos llenó.
Y entonces, desarrollamos; el proyecto que generamos fue a partir de la búsqueda y selección de una técnica de trabajo que nos fuera propia, y de plantearnos un producto nuestro que fuera icónico para reversionar. Tenía que ser Las Farolas, no por su forma sino por su técnica de trabajo.
Nos juntamos y replanteamos; le pedimos a THINKK que generasen una reversión del farol tailandés en función de la técnica de trabajo de LAFELIZ. Esto iba a ser la base del proyecto, nosotros poníamos la técnica y ellos la semántica. Reversionaríamos el simbolismo de un objeto tan representativo como el farol tailandés en Argentina.
Un viaje que inició en el 2019 a Bangkok, nos acompañó en la ciudad de La Paz en Bolivia y nos trajo de vuelta a Buenos Aires, entre diferencias de horario, idas y vueltas, muchas pruebas, y diferentes materiales, ¡hay producto!
LAFELIZ celebrates 15 years.

Now, we are in what we call the 4th stage of this journey.
The stage where LAFELIZ proposes and executes on its own and through collaborations
Experience and energy make up this stage of our journey.
The opportunity arises from the project and initiation of the Royal Thai Embassy in Buenos Aires in 2019. We were selected, we were asked for a collaboration project and several design studios were presented to us. We chose THINKK for the quality of their work, their contemporary vision, their semantics and their sense of belonging to Thailand.
And then the two brands developed a project together. The project that we generated was based on the search and selection of a work technique that was LAFELIZ, and rethinking an iconic product of ours - Las Farolas, not because of its shape but because of its working technique.
We got together and rethink. We asked THINKK to generate a new version of the Thai lantern based on LAFELIZ's work technique. This was going to be the basis of the project - we provide the technique and they the semantics. We would rethink the symbolism of an object that represents the Thai lantern in Argentina.
This adventure first began in 2019 when we travelled to Bangkok, accompanied us while we were in La Paz, Bolivia and then brought us back to Buenos Aires - amid time differences, going back and forth, doing numerous tests, and experimenting with different materials.
And now, there is a product!
Cuatro modelos de lámparas con siete tonos posibles con los que podrás jugar, posicionarlas una sobre otra, juntarlas o separarlas y armar un juego interesante.
El material es una red elaborada en fibras naturales fabricada en Argentina, está teñida de forma artesanal, y armada sobre una estructura que da forma a la lámpara, más una bombita de iluminación led dimerizable. La selección del material va muy de la mano a lo que quisimos lograr como forma del producto, aristas pronunciadas, diferentes tonos posibles, y materialidad.
Four models of lamps with five possible shades with which you can play - position them one above the other, put them together or separate them, and put them together again in an interesting game.
The Thai Lamps is made of a net of natural fibers made in Argentina, dyed by hand, and hung by a structure in the same color of the lamp, with an LED light bulb. The selection of the material embodies what we wanted to achieve for the shape of the product - pronounced edges, different possible tones, and distinctive appearance.
Estas lámparas no son sólo una colaboración por parte del Estudio Thinkk, son también el resultado de la unión y el trabajo por parte de la industria argentina.
La pintura fue desarrollada especialmente para este proyecto por Sinteplast, -Pintura en Polvo Microtexturizada- que nos da la posibilidad de ofrecer calidad, seguridad, y un acabado duradero en este producto.
Son 7 Tonos que arman 3 paletas, compuestas cada una por un tono Base, un Neutro y un Acento.
These lamps are not only a collaboration on the part of the Thinkk Study, they are also the result of the union and the work on the part of the Argentine industry.
The paint was developed especially for this project by Sinteplast, -Microtextured Powder Paint- which gives us the possibility of offering quality, safety, and a durable finish in this product.
There are 7 Tones that make up 3 palettes, each one composed of a Base tone, a Neutral and an Accent.
